We are looking for a 

Team Lead Field Service, Netherlands 

to lead the Field Service Automation & Navigation department in Schiedam. As the company acts in the maritime industry, the new colleague might very well have experience with the maritime stakeholders. The position is located in Wärtsilä domicile in Schiedam (The Netherlands)

What will you be doing

In this position you will be leading the skilled team of Field Service Engineers with respect to the organization, employees, customers (shipowners, ship-management companies and yards) and other maritime stakeholders. On a typical day you keep eyes on the targets and KPI´s, bridge the technical and the commercial business views and you are the first point of contact towards customers with regards to special cases and projects. You will report to the Manager FS Germany/The Netherlands

For us to be the best match, you have gained experienced from maritime industry, as well as leadership experience from technical organization. As an ideal candidate you are also used to working in large global organizations and with other cultures.

As Team Lead, FS Netherlands, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Develop growth and training plans for the team.
• Monitor and enhance skills.
• Ensure smooth operation driven by commercial considerations, including economy, resources, and technical aspects.
• Maintain satisfaction among customers, employees, and colleagues.
• Plan service attendances for ANCS NL FS resources.
• Administer service materials, tools, and PSA (Prescribed Service Agreement).

To be successful in this role, we expect you to:

• Have a commercial mind-set.
• Take responsibility.
• Write and speak fluent English and preferably Dutch.
• Be willing to travel regularly.
• Be a good ambassador and role model for the company and colleagues.
• Be used to work in a stressful work environment.
• Have educational background as marine engineer/ engineer or experience with heading a technical service team in the marine industry.
