Senior, Middle Software Development Engineer C++, Unreal

We are intensively looking for pro-active and experienced Senior C++ Developer with focus on Unreal Engine to join Navigational Simulator team. The candidate will work on market lead product Navi-Trainer Professional that actively in use for seafarers’ education in thousands maritime academies around the globe. The reason of hiring is active business and development team grow. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in C++ development, with a trackable expertise in Unreal Engine.

 

You will work in Scrum team on complex distributed system with tasks in many different domains from visual system to hardware integrations. The team believes in incremental delivery and work in close collaboration with customers.

 

Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.

 

This is a permanent role, the location is Belgrade, Serbia or Helsinki, Finland

 

What you will be doing:

Design, implement and maintain navigational simulator's Unreal Engine based visualization task, and integrate it with other simulator's systems.

Share best practices and expertise for Unreal Engine development with the team.

Optimize visual task performance and memory usage through efficient coding practices.

Design, implement and maintain toolchain to prepare visual data for visualization task.

Participation in development for other navigational simulator's tasks and components.

Ensure clean and maintainable code through code review and adherence to clear coding standards.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of professional experience in C++ development.

Experience with C++11/14/17 standards and best practices.

Experience in Unreal Engine, especially in C++ part.

Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Proficient in Git, debuggers, profilers, and other software development tools.

English at intermediate level or higher.

 

Will be a plus:

Knowledge of COM/ATL.

Experience with C#.

Knowledge of computational geometry algorithms.

Experience in 3D rendering techniques.

Experience in multi display/multi host visualization with nDisplay plugin for Unreal Engine

Experience in distributed system design.
